I still don't trust Kehrer, makes too many rash poor tackles. I preferred Johnson in the 2nd.

Alfs - I think a big positive you missed is we went one own very early in a ground with 50,000 plus fans but didn't cave in and were resilient. Dare I say it in years gone by we would have ended up losing that 4-0.

Well I predicted a loss and my pessimism ( which I’ve taken to an art form ) was expecting the worst. I would have snapped anyone’s hand off for that result before the game.
The positives other than the result were: The choice of formation that suits Emerson and Kehrer Aguerd who was Motm Rice who with Paqueta ran the midfield for 60 mins Paqueta until he started to tire. Again passing much better and worked hard Coufal who looked strong Emerson who gets better each game and can pass accurately and got up and down well Antonio for effort even if his passing always lets us down Kehrer looks useful for his pace in a 3 at the back system We played better bringing out from the back and the presence and ability of Aguerd is the reason
Negatives: Moyes subs. Soucek and Fornals out wide weakened us in a crucial period of the game and handed the initiative to them. He’s got to play a player based on how they perform not past performances and play them in their best position. Downes not Soucek should be coming on. Moyes game management generally Benrahma was shocking and our worse player and should have been hooked half time. Should have passed to Rice but greedily took a shot. Not a team player in that instance Fabianski had little to do but his inability to use his feet just means any pass back going 70 yards and he losing possession Bowen was putting in effort but quality of passing let’s him down and he’s too predictable More injuries to Kehrer, Coufal ( although hoping it’s just cramp )
Overall no complaints for a point that was totally unexpected but my obsession with Moyes and his ludicrous selection of Soucek ahead of Downes is driving me nuts.

Found myself bored watching this, maybe because it was late. Good point, either side could have nicked it at the end.
Whisper it quietly but we appear to have turned a bit of a corner. Those with crystal balls predicting our demise with half a season still left will no doubt be a lot quieter this week.

Agree. However, a point and momentum + belief is vital.

It's not difficult. Don't be a boring, negative cunt.
Forums are for debate, but constantly complaining is not debate. It's forcing your views on members, and dragging the place down.
Look at our last few results and we are on an upward trend. I'm seeing our middle two gel, Bowen and Antonio working harder and our defence looking more solid and resolute. What's wrong with that?
That game today could have gone disastrously wrong, but it didn't. One down after 3 minutes took some balls to recover from. Think we did well, and I'm not sure about the changes in the last 20 minutes, but that's down to Moyes and Nolan. Not you or I.
I'm supporting the team and not moaning. You?

Of course, Bobby Moore did tackle Pele, but I think the famous tackle was against Jairzhino

Of course we rode our luck second half. The initiative had been lost through negative tactics and the substitutions totally buried our chances of a win.
Moyes is a total arse.

I would have taken that result before the start. But was a little disappointed that having got it back to 1-1 and getting on top for a while, we didn't kick on in the second half.
Of course, given the position, we are in wins are what is needed, but although the result was, therefore, a disappointment the performance was encouraging.

Starting line up was near what most would go with bar downes should come on before soucek. Any other manager would still get a better tune out of our squad though

Thought the first half was the best I’ve seen in months. Second we rode our luck, especially after he substitutions. Aguerd motm. Paqueta is going to make many look silly if he can stay fit.

That Aguerd tackle reminded me of the great Bobby Moore tackle against Pele all those years ago!!
As for moyes he is so chicken, on top in the second takes Paqueta off for Soucek and what the hell is Ings doing in the dugout after 80mins? We had more shots than them but not on target, for f#cks sake! Good to get a point but three there for the taking, we have a squad worthy of being in top half of the league and a manager who holds us back.

Ok back to earth now (literally). Thought we did well today. Draw a right result on balance. Aguerd saved it for us and could have won it. Class! Paqueta showing what he can do, sometimes it takes a while for players to gel.
I’m not saying we’ve turned any corner but it’s somewhat encouraging. I really don’t know if we’ve left if too late to to save ourselves, and if we could sack moyes and replace I would still be for that, but we have an uphill struggle now and we must get behind the team.

If we are so good with Rice , Aguerd and the stealiing a living Paquetta guy then why are we so long down in the table. Get real.! How many games does it take for a Brazilian superstar to shine .A good player plays in concrete even and starts playing immediately . Scammacca an even bigger scam , sack Moyes now for buying they money grabbing foreigners , They are only here for the beer, compredez vous , So called West Ham fans .
